Today sample is Black Wolves Saga ~ Bloody Nightmare.
- Make sure that the VN you want to read already have subtitle created by other people in VNR server or offline (XML file). (งツ)ว Thank you @orlandoblue, @bakemeats and @blackicejester for BWS translation~
- Please setup your VNR settings according to the guide here. Otherwise there might be some settings discrepancy, causing the guide to be not accurate for some steps. We don't need more headache, aren't we?
- You already had a J-VN running smoothly, right?
- Then open VNR and your pointer will change to light blue colour~ Remember to connect the VN to VNR based on guide in step 2.
Tips: Actually the most important thing is to always make sure that your VN game threads is readable by VNR or having proper hook code for it.
- After blue add-on attached to J-VN left side, then you're half-way already!
- From that add-on, choose Option and set it like below screenshot.
Character name☆╭Of course |
- If VNR is freshly installed, by default another language can also be seen for subtitles. To set only English appear, choose Settings > i18n > select all languages other than English.
By now, the result should be something like this.
If your translation appear above the dog's head, you just need to drag it down to bottom right like mine. Hope this helps for those who still confuse on the steps. (●°u°●) 」
Hey thank you for your step by step guide! but I am stuck on step 3 on your link to the other guide. I am able to get the game wizard set up on UTF-16 and I press 'Commit' and everything looks like its working, but the text box that appears above my game is only copying the exact same Japanese text from the game. No English translation anywhere, I am not sure where I messed up?
ReplyDeleteWill redo this guide as it was 2 years old already. Stay tuned ( Ո‿Ո)/
DeleteYou already re-do this bro?
Deletei fixed it by going to translators in settings and checkmarking the Google.com one. I think you need to checkmark a translator, it isnt on by default.
DeleteI see. I've been using ATLAS since AGTH and when it comes to VNR, i just link it inside setting. I guess I didn't consider what happen if you don't have any offline translator. Glad that you worked it out~ :D
DeleteI seem to be having the same problem, I've tried checkmarking the google.com one but it's still not working for me. Can anyone can help me with this?
DeleteYou can try looking into this link. Google translate from VNR can't be used currently.
DeleteThanks for asking Mereningen. Yas, its done. \(^O^)/
