Using Clipboard AutoTranslater for VNR

First of all, thanks to the anonymous suggestion from this post.

Shout out to Mi_Tereshenko out there, who tackle this issue for our happiness. ( ᐛ )و
I prefer original content over reposting other people's posts and usually put their link here, but it's a different story about other languages, especially Russia, and their beautiful symbolic character. (‾◡◝ )>

Sauce if you're interested in exploring on your own, explaining Chrome and Firefox way.

This guide is for other Chromium-based browsers, which kind of use Chrome way.
So yeah, enjoy the guide.

Get Hook Code for Visual Novel

Today ima going to share how to get Hook Code in a tedious way. (ノಥДಥ)ノ YASS!
I'll call this Combo 3 - JPCSP+Capture2Text+Textractor+TA.
Why? Coz I feel like it.. (ノ≧ڡ≦) Teehee~!

Thanks to VNR, AGTH, ITHVNR, and other godly software, most of the J-VN that we encounter can be translated to English without a problem. But 30% of those VN text threads can't be found and need a specific H-Code. We can discover H-Code in the internet forum like here, but what if you can't?

God bless those who understand Japanese, but alas, I'm not the chosen one #pepesad.
(⊃◜⌓◝⊂) That convinced me that ima not alone in this dire predicament. Cons of this method, though, every time you quit from Jpcsp, the address will get reset. So is the H-code. (☍﹏⁰)

I hope the user who comes to this post knows how this VN translation works. As the following post is not for the faint heart. It might cause confusion, nauseous, depression, mild concussion (banging your head for an answer, yes I did that), and joy ✌(◕‿-)✌ Having said that, if you're not convinced enough to turn back... Then I wish you, warriors, great luck on the journey ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ/

Visual Novel Reader (new)

In layman's terms, Visual Novel Reader will translate Japanese words into English for you.
Also, it enables such features where users can create their subtitles for the VN game, so the language is making more sense than Machinglish (XD this term is so funny...)

As for the reason I use it, VNR can translate both PSP & PC games, which is incredible! Ahem, only for those that its text was recognized, of course. (Hurrah, hook code!)
I'm gonna strangle you like this ლ(ಠ益ಠლ), if you don't know what's the difference between these consoles.

For every Japanese VN for PC, you'll need to set System Locale to Japanese. Coz, it needs to feel like at home to work correctly. ( ́・ω・`)
Jokes aside, download the new VNR http://vnr.aniclan.com/

How to get Subtitles in VNR for Noobs (yeah, you!)

Okay, without further ado, this is for you Ladies and Gentleman.
Today sample is Black Wolves Saga ~ Bloody Nightmare.

  • Make sure that the VN you want to read already have subtitle created by other people in VNR server or offline (XML file). (งツ)ว Thank you @orlandoblue, @bakemeats and @blackicejester for BWS translation~
  • Please setup your VNR settings according to the guide here. Otherwise there might be some settings discrepancy, causing the guide to be not accurate for some steps. We don't need more headache, aren't we?
  • You already had a J-VN running smoothly, right?
  • Then open VNR and your pointer will change to light blue colour~ Remember to connect the VN to VNR based on guide in step 2.
Tips: Actually the most important thing is to always make sure that your VN game threads is readable by VNR or having proper hook code for it.

How to Improve ATLAS Translation

Like what the title said,
this tutorial will teach you on how to make the better translation for ATLAS dictionary.
For people who are using AGTH/ITH/VNR, must've become friends with ATLAS/LEC/Fortran without doubt. (VN Games! XD)

This time we will focus on ATLAS first.
Small explanation for my newcomer friends,
ATLAS is digital dictionary that translate Japan to English or reverse. (mainly JPN-EN)

Of course you can also use it for non-gaming purpose, such as translating document or website.
-but i won't provide how to use it on this tutorial-
To acquire good result from the translation, general dictionary provided by ATLAS wasn't enough, really..

To improve ATLAS translation, we can use other people dictionary.
This dictionary helps a lot for gaming purpose (VN), so i suggest you all get one too.

And regardless, human are greedy and never satisfied with what they had, and for other reason such as below, i've started to figure out on how to make my own dictionary.
  • Trusting my own instinct on translation
  • I'm better translator than Google, really? ಠ_ಠ
  • I want to try making my own dictionary
  • Adding wacky terms increase the fun inside the game
  • I have time and feeling patient enough right now
lol~ XD. So, let's begin from A-Z.

Translate PSP text from Japanese to English with VNR!

Don't doubt your eyes, folks.
It's true, and i have proof it~ XD
So to commerate it with myself, i'll make a tutorial about it~

Long-long ago, staring at otome game list sometimes made my eye hurts, a lot!
How can i not?
Some titles looks so great and interesting plot, all go to ruins with label [PSP] <- THIS!
No longer to brood over that now, nyahahaha~
I keep giggling at myself, imagining so many PSP games out there. Human has finally crawled out and found their way to conquer J-VN for PSP!
Thanks a lot to Jichi-sama who was the founder of this. Also to Sakimichi-sama who enlightened me with her guide.
Xie-xie, Merci, Gracias, Arigatou, and many more (ask Google or Bing for more) XP.

Let's start!

How to play Japanese VN in English ---(Combo 2 - ITH+TA+ATLAS)~

Okay~ here's the step to use combo between ITH, TA and ATLAS~

✿ Like usual, remember to set up your System Locale to Japanese

Follow this tutorial if you haven't done it.
If you've done this before and already change it to English, then you had to change it again~
Choose Control Panel > Region and Language > Administrative > Change System Locale and pick Japanese (Japan).

✿ Get a J-VN

✿ Restart the computer, install and try to run your J-VN

✿ Find, download and install ATLAS & TA

For those three, i'm too lazy on explain it again. Try looking here for its explanation~

How to play Japanese VN in English ---(Combo 1 - AGTH+TA+ATLAS)~

Okay~ here's the step to use combo between AGTH, TA and ATLAS~

Go to that link and continue every step until complete. It was a tidy and neat guide, so i like it :).
To play J-VN, you'll need to make this computer think it was MADE in Japan. Kidding XP.
Most J-VN out there need this setup, probably because of those J-word inside the VN.
  • Get a J-VN.
Of course, you'll need it.
What's the main purpose of this whole tutorial, again? XD
  • Restart the computer, install and try to run your J-VN.

If it works where you can see the Japanese word inside those installer, well congrats.
This is the first step to success!
If it don't, please remember my intro again :P.
The problem should be around changing System Locale to Japanese, so try again at that part.

Important Tools for Visual Novel Translation

I have found a new challenge, and it was JAPANESE!
Why does it have to be Japanese? All of it is because-

WHY U NO ENGLISH VN? (forgive me for my sudden outburst XP)

We are seeing thousands of good VN out there and in JAPANESE. It kinda makes me desperate to tries conquer it. Of course, I don't have any means to try to learn it from a,e,i,o,u. I ain't got enough times T_T. So I decided to take shortcuts and *tadaa~

I've found some awesome software!

List of the tools that I used currently,
